Donald Trump happy to be 'free of the shackles' as leading Republicans desert presidential candidate

Donald Trump has all but broken links with the Republicans and accused his party of disloyalty.

The billionaire Presidential candidate claimed he was happy to be “free of the shackles” after dozens of leading Republicans disowned his campaign.

“It is so nice that the shackles have been taken off me and I can now fight for America the way I want to,” Mr Trump tweeted.

In another tweet, he said the Democrats have “always proven to be far more loyal to each other than the Republicans!”
